Sugarpova Packaging Review

 

Maria Sharapova has recently been in the news regarding her temporary name change, as a publicity stunt for her candy range, Sugarpova.

 
Currently the richest female athlete in the world, Sharapova founded the company with her own money and it is estimated that last year,  1.8 million bags of the sweets were sold worldwide.

 
Although the name change  didn’t go ahead in the end due to certain difficulties and restraints, we couldn’t help check out the Tennis Superstar’s sweet selection.

 
The chewing cup and  sugary sweets come in a range styles and flavours including Chic, Sporty, Smitten (sour), Sassy (sour) and Quirky. The pouches are flexible and re-closable with a bold, colourful illustration and a cheeky see through window allowing you to see the contents.

 
Each bag displays the same illustration of a pair of lips, which has been made the official logo of Sugarpova, however the colour or pattern has been altered to compliment each flavour or selection of sweets.

 
Overall the packaging is beautifully simplistic, yet eye-catching and very appealing.
